DAVE MUSTAINE 'Taking A Sabbatical' From Programming 'Megadeth Radio'

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has revealed in his latest TheLiveLine "audioblog" that he is "taking a sabbatical" from programming MEGADETH's "predictably unpredictable" Artist Personal Experience radio station, "Megadeth Radio", which officially launched in October 2009. Mustaine has complete creative control in the programming of his 24-hour channel, which features interviews, news, personal commentary, and playlists of his favorite music. Between the musical selections, Mustaine can be heard talking about a variety of topics, including his band's influences, the subject matter for their songs, and his soon-to-open San Diego guitar/music school, where he plans to teach underprivileged youths.

Stated Mustaine: "I just wanted to thank everybody that's helped me with Megadeth Radio up to this point.

"I'm going to be taking a sabbatical from programming the station.

"We've got some serious problems we need to work out.

"The playlist is probably going to stay like it is for a while and hopefully we'll get these things sorted out, but if not, it's been a really great run and I really want to thank everyone at Megadeth Radio for helping me have a pretty fun time doing this."
